Trever Holland

Trever Holland is a longtime Two Bridges resident and community advocate who has lived along the Lower East Side waterfront for nearly three decades. He serves as Chair of Manhattan Community Board 3’s Parks, Recreation, Waterfront and Resiliency Committee, where he helps lead public discussion on parks, open space, climate resiliency and major waterfront infrastructure projects. He is also a cofounder and Board Member of the Battery to Bridges Coalition, cofounder of Friends of Pier 35, and founder and President of the Two Bridges Tower Resident Association. He also helped found Tenants United Fighting for the Lower East Side.

Trever has been deeply involved in major Lower East Side waterfront and resiliency initiatives, including East Side Coastal Resiliency, Brooklyn Bridge Montgomery Coastal Resiliency, Pier 42 and Pier 35. His work has focused on making sure large public investments translate into meaningful benefits for surrounding communities, including stronger public spaces, greater waterfront access, neighborhood programming, environmental protections and long term stewardship. He has also helped build partnerships among residents, City agencies, elected officials, nonprofit organizations and waterfront stakeholders to move community priorities from discussion to action.

A graduate of Columbia University and former Columbia basketball player, Trever is especially passionate about thoughtful design and the role it can play in improving quality of life and creating welcoming public spaces, particularly in lower income communities. He brings a resident focused perspective to Battery to Bridges and a commitment to a more resilient, accessible and community serving Lower Manhattan waterfront.
