Candidates Forum on Waterfront Issues
6:00pm
Two Bridges Tower / Zoom

Our purpose is to create an informed public conversation about climate resilience, public access, open space, equity, and long-term stewardship along the Lower Manhattan East River waterfront.
Battery to Bridges Coalition is a non-partisan 501(c)(3). We do not endorse candidates. Our purpose is to create an informed public conversation about climate resilience, public access, open space, equity, and long-term stewardship along the Lower Manhattan East River waterfront.
This forum was intended to help voters hear directly from candidates on an issue that affects public housing residents, seniors, families, ferry riders, small businesses, schools, workers, historic districts, and waterfront neighborhoods throughout Battery to Bridges.
We promoted the event heavily in and around nearby NYCHA developments and surrounding communities to encourage in-person attendance. We also offered the hybrid/remote option and asked participating candidates to share the forum with their own supporters because this took place before the June 23, 2026 Democratic primary,
We believe it offered candidates for the NYS Assembly, NYS Senate and U.S. Congress a meaningful opportunity to reach both an in-person audience and a broader remote audience early in the public conversation.
